The United Nations is central to global efforts to solve problems that challenge humanity.  Cooperating in this effort are more than 30 affiliated organizations, know together as the UN system.Day in and day out, the UN and its family of ortganizations work to promote respect for human rights, protect the environment, fight disease and reduce poverty. UN agencies define the standards for safe and efficient air travel and help improve telecommunications and enhance consumer protection. 



National

Canadian Ethnocultural Council
Non-profit, non-partisan coalition of national ethnocultural umbrella organizations which, in turn, represent a cross-section of ethnocultural groups across Canada.

Canadian Council for Refugees
Non-profit umbrella organization committed to the rights and protection of refugees in Canada and around the world and to the settlement of refugees and immigrants in Canada.

Canadian Heritage

Canadian Heritage is responsible for national policies and programs that promote Canadian content, foster cultural participation, active citizenship and participation in Canada's civic life, and strengthen connections among Canadians.



Canadian Race Relations Foundation
The Foundation is committed to building a national framework for the fight against racism in Canadian society. They will shed light on the causes and manifestations of racism; provide independent, outspoken national leadership; and act as a resource and facilitator in the pursuit of equity, fairness, and social justice.

Provincial/Local

Ontario Trillium Foundation
The Ontario Trillium Foundation is a catalyst that enables Ontarians to work together to enhance the quality of life in their communities. We believe that communities across Ontario are rich in talent, creativity and drive, and our grants stimulate communities to build on these assets.

Asian Community AIDS Services
Non-profit organization which provides HIV/AIDS education and support to East and Southeast Asians. ACAS services are free and available in English, Chinese, Vietnamese, and Tagalog.
